What to do in Krabi  

Krabi has a wide range of activities and sports to suit every age and lifestyle. 1. Sport  

Diving and Snorkelling Ao Nang is an excellent base for diving and snorkeling in Krabi, providing more than 30 dive sites and numerous snorkeling locations throughout the many small islands off the main coastline. There are a number of reputable diving schools in Ao Nang that cater to both new and experienced divers. Especially in world famous Koh Phi Phi offers where some you can find spectacular reef diving and snorkelling.

Kayaking & Rafting are simple yet pleasurable ways of exploring Krabi's islands, sea caves and mangrove forests. You will be able to view birdlife such as hornbills and kingfishers, and marine life such as crabs and monitor lizards ( it was separated with marine animal ) . Unaccompanied and guided tours are available for kayakers of all abilities. The guided tours focus on the areas of:

                          1. Ao Thalane (mangrove and canyons)

                          2. Bor Thor (limestone caves)

                          3. Ko Hong (island with secret lagoon)

Rock Climbing is the one activity that has made Krabi world famous and there are more than a dozen schools offering beginner to advanced courses. The limestone cliffs and faces on the many karst formations in the area are covered in first class routes, with more 600 identified and ‘bolted’ so far ranging from beginner 5a to extreme 8c. Getting started isn’t difficult and it can be enjoyed by all regardless whether you have climbed before or not.

Fishing Those interested in fishing can choose to hire a long tail boat and head out with an experienced guide or go in a larger group on a bigger boat. Your guides will be local villagers, who know the best places to find the fish, so a catch is guaranteed. Day excursions are the norm, but you can also charter a boat to go out before dawn, or at night.

2. Cultural Route   

Visiting Temple The Tiger Cave Temple or Wat Tham Seua is located in a nature. Visitors can explore the nature trail, tiger cave and even scale the 1237 steps to the hilltop shrine for a stunning view.

Visiting local villages, markets and handicraft centers To get the true flavor of Krabi life, you can visit a local village and observe the local communities in their everyday activities. These may include boat building, rubber tapping and fishing. Local markets are colorful, noisy and an excellent way of meeting the ordinary Thai person.

3. Gastronomy Delight 

Restaurants There are  a wide range of food available in the local area to suit all palates. On the main beach road in Ao Nang, restaurants serving Italian, Swiss, Indian and other foreign cuisine are available. Many of the restaurants serving Thai food have westernized their offerings.

Markets There are a number of colorful markets in Ao Nang and surrounding areas that sell a wide range of fresh product for you to eat and cook in the villa kitchen.
